Gain GAP Hours as an Ambassador
Thank you for your interest in the GAP Ambassadors program. We will notify you within one week of the application deadline on whether you were selected for an interview. GAP Ambassador training will take place the week before classes start. Please email gap@ku.edu with any questions.
Promote GAP at KU
- Meet with prospective GAP students
- Conduct short in-class presentations
- Promote GAP at on-campus events, such as the International Jayhawk Festival
- Guide programming & events
- Strengthen leadership and public speaking skills
- Build relationships across University
- Guide program development and outreach
- Promote cultural opportunities & global citizenship
- Network with those interested in global engagement
- Making progress on or completed GAP certificate
- Attend a GAP Ambassador retreat each semester to meet other ambassadors and receive training
- Represent GAP in three class visits or events per semester
- Oversee social media channels for a set period of time
- Advise GAP coordinator on future initiatives
